Renewable Energy Cities and Communities in Scotland are driving rapid change towards a low carbon future for all. Harnessing Scotland’s massive renewable energy resource is already delivering lasting change for our businesses, communities and people. This conference provides an opportunity to hear from both inspirational local and internationally renowned speakers about the changes that are happening now across Scotland. You can engage with a wide range of stakeholders under four renewable energy / sustainability focused themes:

  • Cities and Communities
  • Decision makers
  • Businesses
  • Education and Training

As Dundee seeks to become a centre for the renewable industry, this conference is well placed to act as a forum for debate, for bold statements and forward thinking on these rapidly changing subjects. The conference aims to attract a national audience of suppliers, practitioners, visionaries and academics to participate in an interactive event, making full use of the excellent facilities at Dundee College’s campus.

Speakers include

  • Lesley Riddoch (Chair)
  • Nigel Donn - SNP MSP and Renewable and Energy and Energy Efficiency cross party group member
  • Patrick Harvie - MSP, the co-convener of the Scottish Green Party
  • Paul Adderley - Sustainable Opportunity Solutions - The Business Case for Solar Investment for SME’s
  • Des Martin – Oatridge College – An example of best practice in using Solar to cut costs and carbon
  • Dr Andy Kerr - Edinburgh Centre for Carbon Innovation – Carbon trading and communities
