UDiTE  MEETS  THE FRENCH SECTION OF CEMR (AFCCRE)

Stephane Pintre, UDITE President and Simon Pascoe (UDiTE Brussels representative) met in Paris on 16th February with Christophe Chaillou the Chief Executive of the AFCCRE. 

The meeting gave UDiTE a new opportunity to engage with key stakeholders from the Council of European Municipalities and Regions, the largest member based local government association in Europe at a key time for this new Presidency. Stephane gave a short overview of the UDiTE Presidency and its priority to support its member associations in this new three year Presidency. Christophe introduced the AFCCRE programme of bilateral events planned in 2022 and extended invitations to the UDiTE President to be involved.

  • 17th March – Romania – France – in Bucharest (UDiTE President to be represented by Marian Florea)

  • 9th & 10th May – France – Germany in Angers (UDiTE to be invited)
  • 24th & 25th October – France – UK Forum – Nancy (UDiTE to be invited)

Stephane would be introduced to the new Secretary General of CEMR in Brussels, Fabrizio Rossi, in the weeks ahead and invite to address their national secretaries meeting.  This was an excellent first meeting and Christophe Chaillou expressed his enthusiasm to work with UDiTE during this new Presidency  standing ready to assist UDiTE in anyway he could.
