Reach for the Star

All European cities and municipalities have been invited to present their climate protection activities and apply for a prestigious Climate Star.

The Climate Star award is an initiative by Climate Alliance and aims to award local solutions for the global challenge of climate change. This includes using less energy, producing energy locally from renewable sources, planning shorter transport distances, promoting walking, cycling or regional goods.

The winners will be awarded at a prestigious ceremony on 22 October in Wachau, Austria. Climate Alliance is an association bringing together over 1400 European towns and municipalities and indigenous peoples of the tropical forests and aims for the preservation of the global climate.
