Finding Winning Energy Strategies

Regional energy strategies will be the hot topic at a workshop taking place in The Hague later this month.

The workshop will be highlighting the rising demand for energy, its cost and availability, the impact of energy consumption on the environment and its effects on climate change, global and local economies and citizen’s quality of life.

It will also outline the action local and regional authorities can take, most notably through the use of innovative satellite information and services in support of successful energy strategies.

Entitled Regions and Cities Implementing Sustainable Energy Strategies – The added value of Satellite Information and Services, the workshop has been organised by Eurisy, an independent body which promotes the benefits of bridging space and society, in cooperation with the Council of European Municipalities and Regions (CEMR).
