Executive Committee

UDiTE is administered by an Executive Committee (Bureau) consisting of two representatives of each country belonging to its member Local Government National Associations. 

The Plenary meeting of UDiTE takes place each year with four representatives from all the member associations and meets during the biennial Congress.  UDiTE organises a major conference every other year, which is open to members of all member associations.

The Executive Committee (Bureau) elects from within its membership a President, Vice-President, Secretary General and Treasurer.  The President of UDiTE is the authorised representative of the Union in the daily running of the organisation.  He or she chairs its meetings and is appointed for two years. 

Since 1992, Gérard Combe (France), Artur Vieira (Portugal), François Riche (Belgium), Antonino Saija (Italy), Arjan van Gils (The Netherlands), Juan Ignacio Soto Valle (Spain), Allan Vendelbo (Denmark) and Adrian Mifsud (Malta) have been Presidents. 

The UDiTE Presidential Team for 2008-2010 are President Byron Davies from Wales, UK, also the Chief Executive of Cardiff Council, the largest Council in Wales, Vice President Didier Duraffourg (City of Sete, France), Secretary General Paulo Jorge Dias (Rio Maior, Portugal) and Treasurer Emma de Lange (De Ronde Venen, The Netherlands).
