Call to Voters

In a bid to get people voting in the European Parliament elections, the European Commission has published a document listing over 60 reasons to vote.
With the European Union making so many decisions which impact on the lives of citizens living in the EU, the document has been compiled to ensure people know their representatives on the European Parliament can make their voices heard in EU decisions.
Delivered in a ‘did you know’ style, the European Commission hopes the easy to read document, which outlines how citizens are affected by decisions the EU makes, will encourage voters to head to the polling stations.
Issues ranging from European funding, renewable energy, employment, transport and justice, all get a mention. The document also backs up each statement with an example of changes that have occurred in Europe.
